History is the study of past events, the people involved, their decisions, actions and consequences related. The story of the drum set is rich with the intertwining of people, ethnicities, events and the passion to drum--with the journey beginning in the mid-9th and travelling throughout the 20th-century. Originally referred to as the traps", the modern drum set is a combination of many percussion instruments from the American military, European Classical orchestra's, World music and related percussion instruments. The creativity, ingenuity, determination and beyond is clearly a testimony to the uniqueness of the human race!
